Each Saturday Social Group includes a focused social skills lesson.  Each lesson is designed to target a social behavior required for successful peer relationships, good personal character, and building self-esteem. Click here to view a sample lesson plan.

Why choose Saturday Social Group?
Saturday Social Group provides direct social skills instruction along with activities that incorporate the instruction into everyday life skills. Our group leaders are trained to facilitate interaction among the participants so that each child has the opportunity to practice social skills with other children in a meaningful way. It is not the typical therapy session where a lesson is taught and practiced in the therapy room, but a real life session where the skill is actually happening and the children have the opportunity to generalize the social skill appropriately.

Who can attend Saturday Group?
Saturday Social Group is for children to young adults with social, communication, sensory, and behavioral needs interested in making friends, learning to be better friends, and having fun.  Participants must be able to function in a group of 8-10 kids and 2 adults.  Children with Communication Disorders, Sensory Integration Disorders, High Functioning Autism (HFA), and other social skills needs will benefit from participation in our Saturday Social Group. If your child requires more support in a smaller group please contact us at saturdaygroup@socialskillstoday.com
